Summary:
The International School for Social and Business Studies (ISSBS) is well integrated with the environment in terms of pedagogical, scientific and research work and both on national and international level. It is responsible for maintaining contact between students and potential employers. The response of the latter to the work of students within practical training and to the adequacy of graduates' competencies is positive. However, more systematic inclusion of professionals from practice would positively influence the motivation of potential candidates for enrolment into study programmes provided by the institution. ISSBS has an appropriate habilitation structure of participating HE teachers who with their presence in practice offer a wide range of experience and enrich pedagogical work. ISSBS is the sole provider of such study programmes in Celje region with quality, young and ambitious HE teachers. With its constant effort to increase the share of fully employed, ISSBS will be able to create favourable conditions for development work, enrich connections in the field of scientific and research work and make new international connections for staff mobility.

Students are included in scientific and research work through the study process and compulsory learning contents. Student opinion, their satisfaction and workload are systematically checked whereas the tutoring system could additionally improve their motivation for successful study, interest in work and in the activities of student council, as well as in participation in various summer schools or in student mobility.

ISBSS follows its quality manual and its self-evaluation reports. Its quality assurance system is appropriate and encompasses all processes important for quality operation of the institution and provision of its study programmes. The response in student surveys could be better if ISSBS were to more efficiently combine the activities of the alumni club, career centre and student council. Nevertheless, ISSBS supplements classical student surveys by organizing debates within student focus groups which is undoubtedly an advantage in the field of quality assurance. Documented findings on the quality of the functioning of ISSBS and their analysis are accessible in self-evaluation reports and published.
